What I love about making stuff is that thrill that comes from the spark of creativity – not just in yourself, but in others as well. Being in the same room with someone when they figure out a solution to a problem is electric. If I am even a small part of that process… that is my definition of success.
Since late in 2016, when my wife had the crazy notion of opening her own design studio with me, I’ve been the Studio Manager of Casa Catalina Design, an interior design firm in Tucson…
There I’ve had myriad duties from graphics & web design, to CAD drafting, to photography, to accounting, to project management, to helping our designer work out solutions in her designs.
I’ve been a founding member on the board of the 520 Moto Alliance in Tucson since 2018. We are a 501c3 non-profit that promotes community, safety, and history in our local motorcycling community.
We’ve put on two all inclusive motorcycle shows, planned various community rides and events, as well as sponsored motorcycle training courses and safety gear for those in need.
I love seeing new things and meeting new people, even when I cannot speak their language. When you’re outside of your day to day experience amid a culture that is unfamiliar, there is a sense of calm that occurs when you suddenly realize how very human and alike we all are.
I’ve always been a hands on type of guy and willing to tackle just about anything.
Whether it’s something to see, touch, taste, hear, or even smell, I really like to put things in the world that weren’t there before.
